The Answer Test is a free five-question check that shows whether ChatGPT and Google name your law firm when your clients ask them for a lawyer.
When a client asks ChatGPT or Google's AI for a lawyer, the answer names a few firms and links a few pages. Everyone else is invisible. The Answer Test is five questions, asked in a fresh chat with no memory, that show whether your firm is named, whether your site is linked, and who is named instead. Ten minutes. Free.
Not yet. On October 26, 2026, we asked ChatGPT five questions a lawyer would type, each in a fresh Temporary Chat so it couldn't remember us. Here is what came back, unedited.
On our own logged-in account, ChatGPT put us first. In a fresh chat, fifth. Only the fresh chat is what a stranger sees.
We run the same five questions on the first Monday of every month and post the result here, good or bad.
| Run | Question 1: our rank | Questions 2–4: named? | Question 5: source |
|---|---|---|---|
| October 26, 2026 | #5 of 5 | No, on all three | LinkedIn, not our site |

Google's AI Mode named us first on question 1, but that run was on our own Google login, so it doesn't count until we repeat it from a clean browser.

AI can't tell who the better lawyer is. It can only tell who it can read and trust. The firms it names usually have five things.
We're fixing our own list in public. This page is one of the fixes. So is the page that answers question 1.
Open a ChatGPT Temporary Chat, never your own account, because it remembers you. Then ask these five, filled in with your practice and your neighborhood:
For each one, write down three things: Are you named? Is your site linked? Who is named instead? Then ask the same five in Google's AI Mode.
Send your practice area and neighborhood. We ask the five questions in a fresh chat and in Google, and send you back the answers exactly as they came, plus the three things the named firms have that you don't. Free. Then it's your call.
Rather email? Write to studio@neuralcast.nyc with your practice area.

The firms it names usually have a page that answers the exact question, one name and address on every listing, other websites that mention them, real reviews, and videos with the words written out so AI can read them. A firm with none of these is not in the answer.
Nobody can honestly promise that. AI answers change every month. What we can do is build what these answers look for, and run the test again every month so you can see what changed.
No. Send us your practice area and neighborhood and we run it for you, free, with no obligation.
